SEROS Made Strides Against Breast Cancer

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and people across the country walk on behalf of the American Cancer Society in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  In Phoenix, people came together to honor survivors of breast cancer, raise awareness and money in support of the work that is being done by the American Cancer Society.  Some of the things that are funded include research, information services, and access to mammograms.

With the support of many of our clients, family and friends we raises $2,500!  SEROS joined the 10,000 walkers here in Phoenix, and together we were able to raise $554,385!  Thank you to everyone that helped support us with our bake sale and by giving online donations to help us reach our goal.  Together we made a difference along with other supporters nationwide who raised more than $60 million to help The American Cancer Society.

For The Children

SEROS and Hacienda de Los Angeles

For the second time last year SEROS was invited by the South Mountain Precinct of the Phoenix Police Department to join them in support of Hacienda de Los Angeles.  It has turned out to be a very rewarding way to show our gratitude to our community and share information about this very worthwhile organization.

Hacienda de Los Angeles is Arizona’s leading provider of specialized health care and social services to infants, children and young adults who have medical, physical and intellectual impairments. Hacienda’s comprehensive service system is capable of meeting the habilitation, restorative and long-term needs of individuals who are victims of genetic disorders, birth trauma, accidents, physical abuse and debilitating or life threatening diseases.

To make the holiday season more special for these brave children, the Phoenix Police Officers have been delivering gifts to them for the last 23 years. SEROS is very proud to be a small part of their efforts.  When you’re in our office next December, take a look at our Christmas tree.  You’ll find snowflakes with the names of the patients at Hacienda de Los Angeles that we have had the honor of meeting.  We would also like to recognize the loving and warm hearted caregivers and nurses of Hacienda de Los Angeles that we have met.  They are doing amazing work.
